Christmas time is here!!!

December at our house is always very busy but we are usually busy doing fun holiday things so nobody seems to mind much. Christmas is mom's favorite time of year so theres always something going on. The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went up to cut down our Christmas tree. This was the first year I have been to cut a tree when there wasn't any snow. We didn't get our usual spot either so we had to hunt a little longer than normal to find it. We did find one though and it was fun anyway. I like having all my family there and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows around the fire. Since we had so much to do the next week we decorated it that same night. I helped mom make Christmas cookies and we all slept in the living and watched a Christmas movie like we do every year. Here are some pictures of our Christmas tree day. It was a very full day but still lots of fun.

Tonight mom and dad took Jay and I out to look at Christmas lights. We packed cookies, got hot chocolate at Dutch Bros. and drove around to look at all the lights that were in the paper for the light contest. It was even more fun than we thought it would be. We got to see Santa twice, pet some llamas that were dressed up as reindeer, and ride the train downtown! Below is a picture of all of us with Santa at the house that won first place. Those of you who live in town should go check out all the lights. Theres lots to see and do! Hope you all are enjoying your holidays as much as we are!

Drum roll please.......

Mom went in for her second ultrasound today and found out that......

Yup, thats right. Were going to have another baby brother. Jayden was very excited. He actually acted like he'd known all along. I was a little disappointed at first but after mom and dad said they might use the name I picked out then I got excited. The doctor said everything looks good and the baby looks healthy. Mom said he was a bit camera shy though and wouldn't let them get a good look at his face, he kept his little hand over his face the whole time. The doctor said she'd try to get a good picture of his face the next time. Well thats our news for today! Hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving!

Pumpkins, Candy, and Road Trips

Well we said we would post again soon so this is the soonest we could get to it. A few weeks back mom and dad took us to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins. We met up with Steve, Trish, Zachary and Brenda and their families. It was a very warm day and we had fun hunting for pumpkins and going through the hay maze. Dad even gave us a ride in the pumpkin cart which we get to do every year only this year we had to wait around for a cart because there were so many people there but we finally got one! We each picked out a pumpkin and we got to carve them about a week later. Me and Jayden didn't want to get our hands messy at first but it didn't take long before we were covered in pumpkin goop (and the table and rug). We sure had fun though. Here are some pictures of the pumpkins we carved at home and the pumpkins we carved from dad's work picnic.

We had dad's birthday on the thirtieth and after that was fall festival at our church. I wanted to be a pirate and Jayden was a penguin. Jay told everyone he was Cody Maverick from the surf's up movie. Fall festival was fun. We got to play lots of games and of course get lots of candy. Mom made us trick or treat buckets this year and we filled them twice! What do you think of our costumes? Dad dressed up as an eighties rocker for work. They formed their own eighties band and called themselves the Dialyzers. It was fun dressing up and getting our costumes all covered in chocolate from the candy and cookies we ate.

The very next morning after fall festival we loaded up the car at three in the morning and headed to Mexico to see Nana and Papa. It was their wedding anniversary and they renewed their wedding vows. We had a ceremony and a big party and all the family was there. It was lots of fun. And let me tell you they really know how to throw a party in Mexico. There was lots of good food. We had Birria which is chicken and potatoes with red sauce and fresh homemade beans, rice and tortillas. They also made this yummy spicy, sweet rice drink called Horchata. It was very good. Then there was lots of music. Jayden loved it and he and our cousin Michael got up on stage and danced with all the Mexican kids. The next day we went to the beach for a barbecue and mom, dad and papa took us over to Belmont Park which is a little amusement park on the beach. Papa bought us tickets to ride the rides and we got to ride all the kid rides in the park. Some more than once! Well this ended up a very long post which I guess might be ok since we never know how long it will be before mom and dad decide to post again. Hope everyone is enjoying their fall season!

A six year old, a buck, and a baby

Well I know its late in posting this but..... I had my sixth birthday a couple weeks ago! I wanted to have a baseball party so mom made me a baseball cake and we had a baseball pinata and went to the park with all my friends. It was lots of fun. I even got my own full size skateboard from my friend Andrea which I thought was very cool. Then on my actual birthday mom made me breakfast in bed like always and I got to have chocolate chip pancakes. She told me she would make me anything I wanted for dinner so guess what I picked. My favorite food: more pancakes!Being six means I don't have to ride in a carseat anymore which I was more excited about than anything. Although now that I know what its like to go without one I actually still like to use it because it makes me taller so I can see out the window.

Also, I thought you might want to see pictures of dad and Uncle Brian's bucks that they killed this year. Now we once again have a freezer full of deer meat and I really like it when mom makes venison steak for dinner. Below is a picture of our new baby. It was thirteen weeks old when the picture was taken and mom says its almost eighteen weeks now so shes guessing its grown at least two inches since then. I've noticed mom's belly has gotten bigger so I'm guessing she's right! Well we have lots more to post about so hopefully mom and dad will put up some more real soon.

Go Diego, Go!

Meet the newest member of our family. Mom and dad have been thinking for quite some time that Buddy needed a friend. He gets really wild around other dogs so they thought it would help calm him down a bit. The other day we went to Kueblers furniture to meet Diego (the cartoon character) but we never quite made it that far. Haven Humane and a few other rescue shelters were there trying to get their dogs adopted and when we walked up mom said "I want the black one". So we played with him a little and talked to his owner. Then dad asked if we wanted to take him home and of course we said yes! He and Buddy are good friends already. We never did get to meet Diego but Jay and I didn't mind because we got to bring home a new dog instead. So we named him... can you guess?....Diego. (Thanks Brenda) We did get to jump in a few bounce houses and get balloons though so we still had fun. Hope everyone is having a good first week of school!

Third times a charm

Or three strikes your out.....at least thats what dad always said when mom said she'd like to have a baby girl. But now that moms having another baby she says that the third time's a charm no matter what it is. Yep thats right. Jayden and I are going to have a baby brother or sister next spring. Mom says the baby should come sometime around the first week of April. I want to have a sister and Jayden wants to have a brother but I think he's more excited about being a big brother than he is about having a new baby around. Mom made us these shirts that we wore at camp when we told Grammy and Grandpa about the baby. Grammy had to read it twice before she figured it out but I think she was excited. I know I am.

Last week we spent six days camping at the coast with all of dads family. We played on the beach and looked for agates and dad rode the boogie board twice. He was pretty cold afterward but he said he had fun. We visited a tide pool that was in the park and we got to hold lots of starfish and crabs. Here are some pictures of our trip. I could have stayed longer but mom and dad were very happy to be home. Well I hope you all are enjoying whats left of summer!

A birthday and a new room

Jayden had his third birthday last week. Actually his birthday was on the first but mom and dad waited to have his party so Grammy and Grandpa could be there. He told mom he wanted a Lightning McQueen cake so we had a Cars birthday party complete with a Cars cake, whistles, and checkered flags. Great Grandma from San Diego bought him a McQueen and a Mater toy which I think ended up being his favorite gifts. We had a pinata and played on the slip and slide with all our friends. It was lots of fun.

The next week Kayla came over and painted our room for us. Since mom doesn't like painting and decorating very much and Kayla loves to paint mom told her she could do whatever she wanted in our room. So she painted red, cream, blue and black stripes on our walls with blue on top and I think it looks really cool. It took them about four days to get it all done. Jay and I didn't mind though because that meant we got to sleep on the hide a bed for four nights in a row. Here are some before and after pictures of our very boring baby blue and then our cool new striped room. So if anyone ever needs a room painted or designed mom says Kayla comes very highly recommended. Thankyou Kayla! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Summer Vacation

Well it's been over a month since mom and dad last updated which means its now the end of June which means that school is out and summer vacation has started. I am very happy about it but mom's not too sure. She says summer is really busy but all I'm doing is having fun which makes it one of my favorite times of the year.

We left a little over two weeks ago to head out to Arkansas for my dad's family reunion. It was a very very long drive but we had lots of fun once we got there and I met a bunch of cousins I didn't even know I had. Here is a picture of Jayden playing with his little cousin Keaton. We spent four days swimming in the lake and playing games in the lodge and they even took us to a water park.

After we left the reunion we spent two days driving back to California and took a detour into Mexico to visit Nana and Papa.
We don't get to go down there very much so it was fun to be able to spend some time there. This is my new friend Getsemeni (the g is pronounced like an h). Getsy is from San Mateo, Oaxaca in Southern Mexico. She doesn't speak any English but we had fun playing together anyway. We played dominoes and ate mangos and we even got to watch Finding Nemo in Spanish. Getsy taught me how to say two new Spanish words: grande, which means big and hielo, which means ice. It was fun to see Nana and Papa's house and play with friends from another country.

After we left Mexico Nana and Papa took us to Sea World for two days! We got to see lots of shows and get splashed by dolphins. My favorite show was called Cirque de la mer. It was a new show that was full of gymnasts and acrobats doing all kinds of crazy tricks. We liked it so much we went to see it twice. Jaydens favorite was the Shamu show. It was the last one we saw and Dad finally talked mom into sitting in the splash zone. They were only eight rows up (the first sixteen get wet) but the whale splashed every section but theirs and they didn't get a bit wet. Dad and Jay were a little disappointed but I don't think mom minded so much.

Well all in all it was a pretty fun trip but we were very happy to finally get home and sleep in our own beds. Mom and dad say thankyou to Nick and Rachael for holding down our fort for us. Dad still has one more week of vacation left so we'll see what fun we can come up with. Maybe they'll be a little more with it and actually post about it! Hope you all are having a great summer too!

Picture Post

Well here are some pictures for you all. Sorry for the HUGE slackerness of my parents. They never would update for me. The flowers were for Mothers day, the wedding was our cousin Kevin & his wife Krista, the Chuck E Cheese birthday party was for my cousin Michael, and of course the coolest thing of all is my Dads new motorcycle. He took me for a ride all the way to the Anderson river park. It was so sweet.

T-Ball

A few weeks back mom and dad signed me up for little league t-ball and I'm having lots of fun playing. Dad even bought me a tee of my own so I can practice at home. I practice hitting in the front yard and can hit the ball all the way out to the street now.
My team name is the Mariners and we had our very first game yesterday. We started with opening ceremonies in the morning and then pictures and then my game in the afternoon. Mom said we played well and even though it was very short I still had lots of fun. Even Jayden had fun playing with my equipment when I wasn't using it. When we were all done coach gave us each five dollars to use at the snack bar! I'm really looking forward to my next game. Well I hope everyone is enjoying their spring! I know I am.
