Christmas lights, bunkbeds and false alarms

Alot has happened since our last post. Mom and dad have been busy shopping and wrapping and making gifts. We have been doing lots of fun things to celebrate the holidays. Christmas vacation started on Friday and that means that I dont have any school for two weeks! The week after Thanksgiving we decorated our Christmas tree. Great Grandma and Grandpa came over and we had cookies and cider and decorated the tree. Then we had our annual "campout" in the livingroom by the tree. We watched a Christmas movie and slept on the hide a bed.

The next morning we woke up to an early Christmas present. Mom and dad got us a bunkbed and set it up while we were asleep. I get the top bunk and Jayden sleeps on the bottom. Theres lots more room in our bedroom now. The only bad thing was the second day we had it Jayden decided to sneak in and try climbing the ladder to the top (Hes not allowed up there). He fell and hurt his leg and would not walk on it for a few hours. Mom took him to the doctor and they sent him to get an xray. I had to wait in the waiting room but Jayden brought me a sticker. Six hours, two xrays, and a hospital trip later, we were told Jayden had a fracture in his hip. So for three days we thought he had a fractured hip and Jayden told people his "hip busted". Mom and dad said it seemed funny since he was walking pretty well by then. When he saw the third doctor he said he couldn't see anything wrong and to ignore everything the other two had said. So it turned out Jayden is fine and his hip is not "busted". Mom was a little irritated though.
Then a couple nights ago we drove around town and saw Christmas lights. We went to all the houses that were in the Redding light contest. Mom made cookies and hot chocolate for the ride. It was lots of fun. We are going to Grammy's house for Christmas and I get to play with my "Burney friends" for two days. I cant wait. Christmas should be lots of fun. Hope everyone is having a good holiday.

Thanksgiving and Christmas trees

Well weve begun our holiday season and its been quite busy so far. Nana and Papa came up a few weeks ago and had an early Thanksgiving dinner with us. We got to go up to Uncle Paul and Auntie Em's and play with Michael. We always like to see our cousins. Then three days later we

went to Uncle Dales house for Thanksgiving with the other side of
the family. I love to go to Uncle Dales because he lives on a "farm" and I get to do lots of fun things. We got to ride horses and play in the snow and Grandpa and Kody took me and Jayden for rides on the four wheelers. Mom and dad got to ride the four wheelers out in the woods for a couple hours. They were very cold by the time they came back but I think they had fun.

The night we came home from Uncle Dales we went to Safeway for the city's christmas tree lighting. Since the fire department helps put it on dad had to work there. We had hot chocolate and watched Santa ride in on a fire truck. Then we stood in line for about an hour so we could see Santa. I told him I wanted a dirt bike and Jayden said he wanted a horse. And when we were eating dinner at the restaurant the waitress told me to tell santa she wanted a camaro. So I told him but I told mom and dad that I really dont think she'll get it. I didn't really understand why I only got a stuffed animal instead of a dirt bike but it was still fun.
The next day we went up to the mountains to cut our Christmas tree. Mom and dad pulled us on the sled while we looked for it.
Mom picked a really big one and dad said it was the heaviest one he's ever had to drag out of there. He was really tired even with me helping him. We roasted hotdogs and had hot chocolate. Buddy liked playing tug of war with Aunt Debbie's dog Sugar. I guess you could say we had a jam packed weekend but I think we all had lots of fun. Hope your enjoying your holidays as much as we are.

Are your feet HAPPY?

We got to go see Happy Feet at the first showing in Anderson today. I thought it was sweet. The things I don't like is how they always put a scary movie preview before the cartoon movies. I have to cover my eyes so I won't get scared. Jayden said "dats my favorite movie" and he also said "FUNNY". Jay ate a bunch of popcorn, I mostly just drank soda. It was really funny cuz towards the end of the movie there was this little girl dancing in the aisle at the theater, then when we got outside there was this old grandpa aged man who was doing the happy feet dance down the sidewalk. He did not know that we saw him dancing. It was real funny. Overall it was a good movie and there was lots of singing and dancing in it. I think I would like to see it again sometime. And if you all get a chance then you should see it too.

Wow we have done so much since our last post we don't know where to start.
We went to Hawes corn maze with the old youth group. That was a lot of fun.

We had Dad's birthday. We went fishing. We got lots of candy on Halloween and got to see our Great Grandparents and some other family.

Mom and Dad went with the Fire Dept. to cut Andersons Christmas tree. I thought it was kind of early to cut a tree but oh well.

Just a quick note

Hey This is just a quick post. My Dad decided to try his hand at posting a video. It works good on our computer how about all of yours. The whells on those trucks are as tall as my Dad!!!! Believe it or not the driver of this BIG FOOT is a girl. Don't mess with her though judging from the full sleeve tatoo's she had(real ones Kayla) she looked like she could handle herself. Just so everyone knows I went to the dentist for the first time yesterday and I had to have some cavities filled. The Dentist was real nice and I was abrave boy so Mom said I could have Ice cream. (I did not tell her that that is what causes cavities so shhh don't tell) See you all soon. Joshua

HUNTING & MONSTER TRUCKS

We went hunting with Dad the other day. It was Jayden, Mom, Uncle Brian, Uncle Ben, Dad and me. We drove all the way from I-5 through to Hwy 299. It was a really long drive. My Dad made it a little longer by taking the wrong turn, and Jayden and I also made it take longer by getting car sick. Jay threw up once and I did three times. The cool thing was we did see two mountain lions. They were running down the road in front of us. We also saw four foxes, three rabbits, two skunks, some bats and a few moths. The only thing we did not see was any deer. I guess this would be because the mountain lions scare them all away.

My Mom and Dad went to the Monster Truck show in Red Bluff yesterday. Steve and Trisha had two extra tickets and so Mom and Dad went with them and Krystal came over and hung out with me and Jayden. We had a good time and Dad and Mom got some cool pictures for us.

They also had the Airshow here in Redding this weekend. We did not go but living where we do we were able to see lots of the planes fly by. It was cool but the jets were so loud they would wake us up from our naps.

A NEW POST

Hi everyone. Sorry about the lack of posting we have had a busy few weeks. Lets go over a little of it. Friday the 8th... Dad flew to Los Angeles to pick up our new truck. L.A. you ask? Yes L.A. He bought it off of ebay. Kind of a crazy thing to do but with the savings and how well the truck runs and looks I think he did the right thing. Plus Jayden and me get our own doors. It is a pretty sweet truck with four wheel drive and lots of chrome trim. Then the next day Jayden and I went to Burney to hangout with our buney friends while Mom and Dad went to Marine World with Daddys work. We had lots of fun up there and Mom and Dad had a good time. They went to the Six Flags Water park as well as Marine World. They needed to get away and have a date for themselves. This is Dad going down the super fast slide. It went so fast that he had red marks on his back. The other one is Mom and Dad on Vertical Velocity in Marine World. (the picture was actually taken last year you will know this if you look closely at the people behind Mom and Dad.)

Then last weekend Deer season opened up. No that is not a picture of a buck from this year. It is Dads from last year I put it on for good luck . We went to Burney with Dad and we(Mom Jayden, and me) went to my Burney friends Soccer game while Dad, Justin and the guys went hunting. They saw lots of deer but nothing they could shoot at. We went road hunting with Dad, Mom and Justin In the evening and they saw two deer. I did not really look for deer cuz Jayden and me have our own DVD player in the truck so we watched Finding Nemo.

Well Hopefully that brings everyone up to date on our lives for now. We will try to be more regular with our posts.

Kindergarten

Well I finished my first week of kindergarten. I'm learning alot and I'm having fun too (although I dont let my mom in on that part, I just tell my friends). I can write my name now and count up to fifty and I even get to go to an art class. That is a picture of all my school books. Below is me working on my handwriting book. Jayden likes to pretend he's writing too. Its fun to have my brother pretend to do school with me (except when he steals my markers)

This weekend I get to go to Burney and stay at Grammy's house and play with my Burney friends. Mom and dad are going on a trip for the weekend. They won't tell me where they are going but I think I heard them say Marine World (shhh). They will probably post pictures when they get back. Well I hope everyone has a good weekend!

The Final Campout

Well we made it home from our last camping trip. It was lots of fun but mom and dad are very glad to be home again. We went to Dusty camp up at Lake Brittan and it definately lived up to its name. There was white chalk dust everywhere and Jayden and I thought it was fun to make murals on the rocks with the chalk. We ended up just about as white as the rocks though. Luckily we were right on the lake so all we had to do was go swimming to find our normal color again. We had lots of fun camping with my Burney friends. Uncle Pete and Aunt Tina brought their boat so there was lots of tubing and wake boarding. Dad tried some new tricks and even mom got up on the wakeboard. Jayden and I got to go tubing too! Below is a picture of me and my dad on the tube. Aunt Tina let
Jayden behind the wheel and he thought it was lots of fun to "jive" the
boat. Me and mom and dad also got to go fishing and I caught my first crappie. We didn't get a picture of it though. Camp was lots of fun and I am sad that its over. But the exciting thing is that I start kindergarten next week! Hope you all had a fun summer!

Patrick's Point

Well were home again. Patricks Point was alot of fun. We went to the beach alot and dad taught me how to hunt for agates. Steve, Trish, Courtney and Hailey were there for the first two days. Marla, Ryan, and Aspyn came on Thursday. It was lots of fun. We went to an aquarium in Trinidad where we got to see crabs, fish, tiger sharks and even an octopus. Then we went outside to a little "touch pool" where we got to hold starfish and other little sea creatures. Below is a picture of one of the starfish. Its called a sunflower starfish. There was also a sea slug which mom thought was really gross.

On Friday my "Burney friends" came. Uncle Jon and Aunt Amy came all the way from Louisiana and Tennessee. Brian, Ben, Millie, Lydia, and Emily didn't know they were coming camping until Amy and Jon got there. They were surprised and I was very glad they came. This is Uncle Jon playing with Jayden on Moonstone beach and below is me and my Burney friends in a canoe in the Yurok Village. We also went to a zoo, a cheese factory, and Ferndale. I wasn't very excited about shopping in Ferndale but mom did buy me some candy buttons from an old fashioned candy shop. That last picture is of me, Jayden, dad, Zach (Zach and Brenda came on Saturday) and Buddy on top of a rock we climbed. Buddy had to climb it three times before he made it to the top.

Well all in all camp was a ton of fun and I was sad to come home. But in three
days were off again to camp GoFer Wink (Goza, Ferrer, Winkelman) for our final camp out and three more days of fun. We will post again when we get back. Hope you are enjoying your final weeks of summer like we are!

Better late than never

Well were a little late on posting our camping pictures but mom and dad have been very busy lately. My great grandma bear has been very sick and in the hospital but I'm happy to say shes doing much better at the moment. Family camp was lots of fun. Our theme was "Pirates of the Carribean" and theres was lots to do. We played games (thats me pinning my X on the treasure map), went fishing (I caught my first bass) and swam in the lake. Jayden and I had a blast getting dirty, singing around the campfire and making smores. Mom and Dad, Kayla, Justin, Laurie, Kale and others who joined up later spent alot of time figuring out Kevin's infamous treasure hunt. They said he did a really good job because it was very hard. It took them all three days to figure it out.

This is an example of one of the clues. This one had my dad and Justin snorkeling the beach at 8:00 in the morning (which happened to be way off)

This is them finding the treasure.....finally. It took them until Sunday night. This is a picture of the 'X' at heart lake where the final stake was hidden. It was a 45 min. hike up to the lake. Dad was really sore (he had to hike it twice) but they did get fifty gold dollars out of it and they took the highschoolers, Zachary, me and Jayden out for milkshakes to celebrate. That was the part I liked.

Well were off to camp again this weekend at Patricks Point so we'll post those pictures when we get back. Hope everyone has a great week!
