Go Diego, Go!

Meet the newest member of our family. Mom and dad have been thinking for quite some time that Buddy needed a friend. He gets really wild around other dogs so they thought it would help calm him down a bit. The other day we went to Kueblers furniture to meet Diego (the cartoon character) but we never quite made it that far. Haven Humane and a few other rescue shelters were there trying to get their dogs adopted and when we walked up mom said "I want the black one". So we played with him a little and talked to his owner. Then dad asked if we wanted to take him home and of course we said yes! He and Buddy are good friends already. We never did get to meet Diego but Jay and I didn't mind because we got to bring home a new dog instead. So we named him... can you guess?....Diego. (Thanks Brenda) We did get to jump in a few bounce houses and get balloons though so we still had fun. Hope everyone is having a good first week of school!

Third times a charm

Or three strikes your out.....at least thats what dad always said when mom said she'd like to have a baby girl. But now that moms having another baby she says that the third time's a charm no matter what it is. Yep thats right. Jayden and I are going to have a baby brother or sister next spring. Mom says the baby should come sometime around the first week of April. I want to have a sister and Jayden wants to have a brother but I think he's more excited about being a big brother than he is about having a new baby around. Mom made us these shirts that we wore at camp when we told Grammy and Grandpa about the baby. Grammy had to read it twice before she figured it out but I think she was excited. I know I am.

Last week we spent six days camping at the coast with all of dads family. We played on the beach and looked for agates and dad rode the boogie board twice. He was pretty cold afterward but he said he had fun. We visited a tide pool that was in the park and we got to hold lots of starfish and crabs. Here are some pictures of our trip. I could have stayed longer but mom and dad were very happy to be home. Well I hope you all are enjoying whats left of summer!

A birthday and a new room

Jayden had his third birthday last week. Actually his birthday was on the first but mom and dad waited to have his party so Grammy and Grandpa could be there. He told mom he wanted a Lightning McQueen cake so we had a Cars birthday party complete with a Cars cake, whistles, and checkered flags. Great Grandma from San Diego bought him a McQueen and a Mater toy which I think ended up being his favorite gifts. We had a pinata and played on the slip and slide with all our friends. It was lots of fun.

The next week Kayla came over and painted our room for us. Since mom doesn't like painting and decorating very much and Kayla loves to paint mom told her she could do whatever she wanted in our room. So she painted red, cream, blue and black stripes on our walls with blue on top and I think it looks really cool. It took them about four days to get it all done. Jay and I didn't mind though because that meant we got to sleep on the hide a bed for four nights in a row. Here are some before and after pictures of our very boring baby blue and then our cool new striped room. So if anyone ever needs a room painted or designed mom says Kayla comes very highly recommended. Thankyou Kayla! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Summer Vacation

Well it's been over a month since mom and dad last updated which means its now the end of June which means that school is out and summer vacation has started. I am very happy about it but mom's not too sure. She says summer is really busy but all I'm doing is having fun which makes it one of my favorite times of the year.

We left a little over two weeks ago to head out to Arkansas for my dad's family reunion. It was a very very long drive but we had lots of fun once we got there and I met a bunch of cousins I didn't even know I had. Here is a picture of Jayden playing with his little cousin Keaton. We spent four days swimming in the lake and playing games in the lodge and they even took us to a water park.

After we left the reunion we spent two days driving back to California and took a detour into Mexico to visit Nana and Papa.
We don't get to go down there very much so it was fun to be able to spend some time there. This is my new friend Getsemeni (the g is pronounced like an h). Getsy is from San Mateo, Oaxaca in Southern Mexico. She doesn't speak any English but we had fun playing together anyway. We played dominoes and ate mangos and we even got to watch Finding Nemo in Spanish. Getsy taught me how to say two new Spanish words: grande, which means big and hielo, which means ice. It was fun to see Nana and Papa's house and play with friends from another country.

After we left Mexico Nana and Papa took us to Sea World for two days! We got to see lots of shows and get splashed by dolphins. My favorite show was called Cirque de la mer. It was a new show that was full of gymnasts and acrobats doing all kinds of crazy tricks. We liked it so much we went to see it twice. Jaydens favorite was the Shamu show. It was the last one we saw and Dad finally talked mom into sitting in the splash zone. They were only eight rows up (the first sixteen get wet) but the whale splashed every section but theirs and they didn't get a bit wet. Dad and Jay were a little disappointed but I don't think mom minded so much.

Well all in all it was a pretty fun trip but we were very happy to finally get home and sleep in our own beds. Mom and dad say thankyou to Nick and Rachael for holding down our fort for us. Dad still has one more week of vacation left so we'll see what fun we can come up with. Maybe they'll be a little more with it and actually post about it! Hope you all are having a great summer too!

Picture Post

Well here are some pictures for you all. Sorry for the HUGE slackerness of my parents. They never would update for me. The flowers were for Mothers day, the wedding was our cousin Kevin & his wife Krista, the Chuck E Cheese birthday party was for my cousin Michael, and of course the coolest thing of all is my Dads new motorcycle. He took me for a ride all the way to the Anderson river park. It was so sweet.

T-Ball

A few weeks back mom and dad signed me up for little league t-ball and I'm having lots of fun playing. Dad even bought me a tee of my own so I can practice at home. I practice hitting in the front yard and can hit the ball all the way out to the street now.
My team name is the Mariners and we had our very first game yesterday. We started with opening ceremonies in the morning and then pictures and then my game in the afternoon. Mom said we played well and even though it was very short I still had lots of fun. Even Jayden had fun playing with my equipment when I wasn't using it. When we were all done coach gave us each five dollars to use at the snack bar! I'm really looking forward to my next game. Well I hope everyone is enjoying their spring! I know I am.

With all the sunshine that we have been getting we have been doing a lot of stuff outside. I ride my bike with my friends Andrea and Leah for a couple of hours each day. It is a lot of fun. Today we went to garage sales and then I got a new bat and batting helmet for T-ball. Then we went out to Shasta Lake City to the bmx track. I crashed a few times but I never got any blood on me, just little scrapes on my legs. I made it around the track three times without falling at all.

This is me and Dad at the starting gates, and then us racing through the track. A couple times my front tire caught a little AIR!! It was just like racing. As you can see my Dad caught a little air on some of the small jumps. He was kind of scared to jump the big ones. My Mom and Jay even rode a little bit. When we got home Jay and me jumped on the trampoline with the sprinkler under it. It was cold but a blast. Mom and Dad worked in the yard while we bounced. I helped them for a minute but I like playing better.

Mom's new ride

Well they did it again.....mom and dad bought another car off ebay. They decided that since they didn't use the back seat of the van anymore anyway and it took so much gas that it would be better to have a car that mom calls more economical. So last week they sold the van and this week dad's little truck was sold too and they bought a 2003 Altima. Mom says her favorite part is the leather seats that heat up and dad likes the sound system. I was just excited to have a smaller booster seat like my Aunt Emily instead of my big car seat. So here are some pictures of us in our new car. Were off to enjoy another sunny day! Hope you all enjoy yours.

BOUNCING BOYS

One of my friends from my dad's work is moving and she told my Dad we could have their trampoline. Her name is Laurie and she is the secretary. Sometimes I go with my Dad to help him order supplies and Laurie gives me candy. I draw her pictures and feed her fish Fluffy. My Dad went and got the trampoline on Saturday and set it up in the back yard to surprise us. I was so excited. Jayden, my cousin Michael and I jumped on it for quite a while that night. I am learning to do front flips. My Dad could not stay off of it either he had to try a few flips of his own.

Two wheels like Dad

Well daddy got a new bike a few weeks back and last week we got to watch him in a race. Me and Jayden played on the playground and cheered him on every time he rode by. It looked like so much fun that I decided next year I want to race too. So dad came home and took the training wheels off my bike so I could learn to ride on two wheels. It was hard to do on my big bike so he took the training wheels off of my old 12in bike instead so it would be easier because then my feet could touch the ground. Dad pushed me down the driveway and I did it all by myself! The only one who wasn't excited was Jayden. He just sat in the back of the truck and said "he took my bike" over and over. But now since we haven't had any rain this year yet I've been practicing and I can ride my big bike without training wheels. Dad and I have been riding alot together so next year I will be able to race with him! Here are some pictures of me and dad riding bikes and hanging out together.

Mom and dad also pulled out the hockey table. Jayden and I have been playing alot. Its lot of fun. Hope everyone has been enjoying our unusually warm weather as much as I have. Have a great week!

Christmas....a little late

We had a very good Christmas and now that things have slowed down mom and dad actually have time to tell you about it. We got to have three Christmases this year which meant three days of opening presents and three days of pie and treats (mom wasn't too excited about that part. She says I get a little crazy when I eat sweets... I dont know what shes talking about). My favorite gift was my new snowboard helmet and Jayden's was probably his "Buzz Lightyear star command". He even sleeps with it in bed at night. We started our Christmases at Grammy and Grandpa's in Burney. It was lots of fun. I think we had 14 stockings laying out on Christmas morning. Grammy and mom managed to fit them all on the dining room table. We opened presents, ate prime rib, and grammy always makes a yummy chocolate pie for dessert. Then four days later we went back to Burney to have another Christmas with all my great aunts and uncles. Dad got to go four wheel driving with his cousins and I got to play with my Burney friends some more.

On New Years day we had our last Christmas. Nana and Papa and Great Grandma were there and Uncle Paul, Auntie Em, Michael and William came over. We opened more presents and ate more pie and I even got a Cars XBox game from Great Grandma and Bob the builder snow boots from Nana and Papa. I think everyone had a great Christmas.

The next day was Michaels birthday so we went to the new Chucke Cheese. Jayden and I had lots of fun. Then the weekend after we went snowboarding with my "Burney friends". I practiced on the bunny hill alot and dad says I'm getting the hang of it and maybe next time I will try going up the lift. Mom forgot the camera though so we didn't get any pictures on the mountain. Well I think thats about it. Hope you all had a great holiday as well.
